The Antares is a single barrel, break-up rifle, with the side lever, positioned on the right side of the gun. The Antares revolves around two precise mechanical propositions: the extremely low distance between the barrel center and the hinge pin center and the very short travel of the firing pin, a mere 4 millimeters. The barrel center is less than 7 millimeters, is one of the lowest in the category, favoring both stability and opening leverage. Furthermore, the Boss-style fastening of the gun, features a tremendous contact area, more than three times that of the locking lugs of a Mauser bolt.
